Sprinting Towards Ronald McDonald House

Sprint Digital Ronald McDonald House Charity

The charity provides accommodation for families of sick children who are undergoing treatment in CHI Crumlin and enables them to stay at the House for as long as their child is undergoing treatment there.

Joanna Doyle, (our Business Manager) said, “We were really taken with the phenomenal work and services which The Ronald McDonald House provides for sick children and their families, and we wanted to support them in their endeavours. Families staying at The Ronald McDonald House do not have to worry about where they will be sleeping that night, their next meal or where to park the car, all things we just take for granted. We were really captivated by their work and asked, ‘what can we do to help?”

Sprint Digital has donated over €20,000 worth of time and digital marketing expertise to Ronald McDonald House Charities Ireland.

In Sprint, one of our objectives was to give something back to the community in a meaningful way. Applying our digital marketing skills was a tangible way for us to make a difference and give the charity confidence that their website was in safe hands.

We came up with a 360-degree digital marketing solution that would help share the message of what the charity does and their services. We also created a brand new, contemporary, and engaging website and for the past 18 months Sprint Digital has been looking after the Ronald McDonald House digital marketing strategy at no cost whatsoever. We have been managing and optimising their PPC – keeping their ads updated to generate the maximum return on investment.

Joe Kenny, CEO of The Ronald McDonald House said, “We were really struggling to find a partner that could assist us with our website design and digital marketing. From the moment we met the Sprint Digital team we knew we were in safe hands. Not only is our new website creating a greater online awareness of our services but it also helping us raise funds for our new House at the new children’s hospital. The new House will provide direct, immediate, and easy access to the hospital. It will have 53 bedrooms which will cater for families of every size. This ‘home from home’ will touch the lives of thousands of seriously ill children and their families for generations.”

Ronald McDonald House charities offers many ways for individuals to help – supporting their many fundraising events or purchasing their popular Barrog Bunny. What might be one of their most known initiatives is their cooking for families programme. As part of the cooking for families programme, individuals or groups can volunteer to prepare dinner for families making use of the Ronald McDonald House. We wanted their website to display every viable way that people could help this wonderful cause, while also reminding them why they should.

To us, the focus of the website had to be the children and families that are being helped by the Ronald McDonald House Charity. Luckily, the charity already had a fantastic selection of images and videos of their families as well as great photos from their events. We also have an online shop where people can purchase gifts such as teddy bears, keep cups, clothes and of course the gift of 2021 – the face mask.

Across the website you will see their distinct brand colours as well as effortless ways to donate directly to the charity or to sign up for one of their fundraising efforts.

We are so happy to be working on a cause as worthy as the Ronald McDonald House Charity. We look forward to continuing this relationship in the future and we hope that we can get more involved with their onsite activities and events soon!
